Ground Turkey Vegetable Pasta

A healthy version of "goulash"

  • 1 lb Pasta shells
  • 1 lb Lean ground turkey
  • 1 Red bell pepper diced
  • 4 Large tomatoes diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt & pepper to taste


  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil then add pasta and cook until al dente
  • Add ground turkey to a pan on medium-high heat until cooked through, then remove from pan and set aside in another bowl
  • Add olive oil to the pan and then the tomatoes, peppers, onions and basil
  • Simmer the vegetables until the tomatoes have softened then add the turkey and garlic
  • Let simmer together for about 5 minutes then remove from heat and add to a large serving bowl with the cooked pasta
